Welcome to Martina’s Retreat, an intimate haven lovingly named after Regie Bahyo’s cherished wife, Martina. This nine-room lodge is a heartfelt tribute to his partner and the devoted mother of their children. It also holds special significance as their first home and property after leaving his parents’ house years ago.
Nestled just 1 kilometer off the main Tarmac Road in the picturesque town of Karatu, Martina’s Retreat is perfectly situated in the Ngorongoro Highlands. Our boutique lodge lies directly on the safari path, equidistant between the renowned Lake Manyara National Park and the gateway to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This central location makes us the ideal oasis to relax before or after your safari adventures.
Karatu, a charming Tanzanian village, offers a wealth of discoveries. Spend your day exploring bustling markets, hiking in the lush Ngorongoro Forest, or enjoying the serene beauty of our tropical gardens.
